ABOUT THE GULLS
Eagle RUFC
Eagle RUFC was formed in 1962 by a group of friends, some of whom worked in the local factory, and who felt it was time to establish a rugby union club in a rugby league heartland. The name Eagle, and the club motif, comes from the Eagle logo of one of those businesses, Rubery Owen, which has long since disappeared from its Great Sankey location.

From a one team club, Eagle grew, and in the late Eighties, was running three senior sides plus a vet’s team. The club currently has one team but is looking to rebuild again, so come join us!

We're a fun, outgoing, social bunch who enjoy each other's company on and off the field. We go hard off the pitch and enjoy a few beers afterwards...what's not to love! Contact us below if you're interested...
